The International Jury at this year’s Lucca Film Festival e Europa Cinema, presided by Dutch actor Rutger Hauer, gave a special mention to Anke Blondé’s first feature THE BEST OF DORIEN B., saying the members “were struck by the beauty and the complexity” of the film, and above all by its lead actress Kim Snauwaert who plays Dorien “with an incredible generosity.”

The film was selected in the Feature Film Competition of the festival. Lead actress Kim Snauwaert was present at the festival to introduce the film to the Italian audience. THE BEST OF DORIEN B. received its world première at the International Film Festival Rotterdam – IFFR earlier this year. Be For Films represents the film internationally.
