Reedland had its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in the Semaine de la Critique on May 14th.

When reed cutter Johan discovers the lifeless body of a girl on his land, he is overcome by an ambiguous sense of guilt. While taking care of his granddaughter, he sets out on a quest to track down evil. But darkness can thrive in unexpected places.

“One of the first images that I ever had for this film was just this man walking or working in the reeds and looking back over his shoulder.” Director Sven Bresser.

This film is produced by Viking Film in co-production with A Private View. Reedland is directed and written by Sven Bresser starring Loïs Reinders and Gerrit Knobbe.
