We are proud to announce that the short film Coffee at Lourdes has been selected for the Flemish Fiction Competition at this year’s Short film Festival Leuven. The selection also marks the premiere of the film which makes it more special.
Directed by Kyoko Scholiers, Coffee at Lourdes brings together two remarkable performances by Jan Bijvoet and Junior Mthombeni in the leading roles.
After forty years of radio silence, Sol meets his old friend Dicky to clear an incident from the past. At Café Lourdes the two graying men make a final attempt to come to terms with the past and each other. Time is precious, as Dicky’s death is scheduled for tomorrow.
